CT was awarded the AV integrator contract by our client Expo 2020 to provide the immersive projection and audio installation for the Al Wasl Plaza.
The plaza features numerous structural and artistic innovations, making it a remarkable audio-visual project.
The giant dome served as the heart of the Expo site, uniting 192 countries.

CT installed 252 Christie 40k RGB laser projectors to cover a 186-million-pixel canvas, supported by 16 Disguise GX2 media servers and a 160 x 160 Crosspoint fibre matrix.
The L-Acoustics audio system comprises 27 loudspeaker arrays, each with 16 KIVA II speakers secured with a bespoke rigging system that matches the dome’s architecture. Additionally, 6 subpods around the dome’s perimeter house 4 KS28 subwoofers each, arranged in a cardioid array.
